The Flash film has been in rough water at Warner Bros after former director Rick Famuyiwa stepped down from the project.
However one person involved with The Flash is staying and will rewrite the script, and that person is Joby Harold, according to Variety.
The Flash has been on hold after losing its director and the studio has decided to take the script in a different direction.

Harold has had ties with WB, he is written King Arthur: Legend of The Sword and a few upcoming projects like new Robin Hood and Twilight Zone films.
The Flash is slated for a 2018 date, but still is unclear at this point it will lead Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, along with Kiersey Clemons as Iris West and Billy Crudup as Henry Allen, Barry’s father.
