Discussion: Why Injustice 2 Looks Promising

Injustice 2 is the latest game that’ll be released by Netherrealm Studios (formerly Midway), the creators of Mortal Kombat, Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Comics.

Many people in the community is excited, but there might be some skeptical people who aren’t fans of DC Comics or the first Injustice game, and I’m going to explain why.

Firstly, the Injustice Universe is packed with awesome characters taken from the DC Universe and they are put into extreme battles with Mortal Kombat styled gameplay that is toned down to suit a Teen audience. Now this makes sense, given that Mortal Kombat is extremely more violent with the fatalities and the gore and stuff, but Injustice is like Mortal Kombat if it were aimed towards a teenage audience, so the Injustice games won’t cause too much controversy over the parents that says Mortal Kombat is too violent for kids.

Secondly, Injustice 2 will be havimg major characters from the first fame returning, like Batman and Superman, but there are some characters DC Fans never got to see in the first game too. Supergirl fans will like this game because it will feature Supergirl in the game, while Poison Ivy (seen in the latest trailer) will also make an appearance in game too (which might mean that Poison Ivy will make her first playable appearance). Brainiac will also appear in the game, but somehow, he looks like if Brainiac merged with Doctor Octopus for a day (seriously, I made a joke about this on Twitter). Robin fans will also be happy to hear that Damian Wayne will officially reuse his Robin costume in the game (because I remember some people wanting Robin in game). Darkseid is also playable too as DLC while Reverse-Flash, John Stewart (confirming Green Lantern will be in game) and Power Girl will be DLC skins.

Thirdly, I already mentioned that the DLC will contain Darkseid, but there’ll also be 9 additional characters in the game, which would mean that there’ll be 10 DLC characters in the game! If you want to include the Reverse-Flash, John Stewart and Power Girl skins in game (but I won’t), then we’ll get an additional 3 characters (but since we already know that Reverse-Flash, John Stewart and Power Girl are basically going to be reskins of the characters except with different voices and stuff, then I will take them out of the equation).

Finally, Injustice 2 has so much gear that will make fans of RPGs excited to hear that the gears can affect gameplay mechanics and will give the characters new abilities (and you can also customise the character’s colur schemes in game too). For example, you can give Batman a more futuristic look while you can make Superman look like he just came back from the dead with the Black and Silver colour scheme. And as a bonus, with preorders for the Ultimate Edition will allow players to have bonus gear and colours. Now, who here is going to customise Harley Quinn once they get the game?

That was my points for why Injustice 2 is going to be promising. If you want to discuss more with me, contact me on Twitter @BewareTheBat20.
