Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced last year, with a teaser trailer showcasing what will be involved in game. But I want to ask the question. Will John Marston ever appear in Red Dead Redemption 2?
Well, let me start off by saying that this is a rumour since there isn’t any big news for the characters that is appearing in game, so take this rumour with a grain of salt for now.
Firstly, it would make sense to have John Marston in this game since it is kinda like a prequel to the first Red Dead Redemption. The trailer showcases some stuff that appeared in the West before the events of Red Dead Redemption, so it is most likely a prequel.
Secondly, I would like to say that since this game is set before the first Red Dead Redemption, then this game will probably follow the story of John Marston’s time in the gang, since the official photo and trailer showcases a gang. Maybe the game will likely follow the story on the heists Marston did with the gang, which is a interesting story idea.
Thirdly, the female gang member seen in the trailer could possibly be Marston’s wife. Again, we don’t know anything about the characters at the moment, but this could showcase how Marston met his wife and also show the many heists that they have done together before Marston became a sheriff in Red Dead Redemption.
Lastly, I would like to point out that if the gang in Red Dead Redemption 2 isn’t the gang that Marston was a part of, then perhaps we could see Marston in a cameo appearance, either in prison or appear in a side mission where Marston could meet the main character and possibly forge an alliance with him.
Again, take this rumour with a grain of salt since nothing has been announced about who will be in the game, but all we know that the game will be out this year in the Q3 or Q4 segment of the year. If you want to discuss anything about the game, please discuss with me on Twitter @BewareTheBat20.
